We are Porsche people at Dream Drives for Kids, and so when we had the chance to build a replica of the most pure 911 ever made, the 1973 Porsche Carrera 2.7L RS, we jumped at the chance. With real RS trading for nearly $1,000,000, our project car delivers nearly the same experience for a fraction of the price.

Our car started life as a 1972 911 “T” but has been converted to the 1973 RS spec: the engine is correct, the transmission is correct, the interior and exterior trim is correct … we even have a 180 MPH speedometer that later cars had that was sourced from a real RS years ago. And while again, this is not an original RS, we have it on good authority that the car drives and handles and sounds like the real deal.
